A new type of fishing show is coming to town this weekend. It is called Shallow Water University and will be held at the new Sheraton Inn in Warwick, RI. The three day event (March 12, 13, 14) will focus on fishing for striped bass from shore and boat. It features some of the best fishermen on the East Coast who will be doing continuous seminars and demonstrations. I will be doing a shore fishing show on Sunday afternoon. There is still time to sign up.

Can't be Any Worse
I'm up to six times in a row without as much as a hit in the Providence River. It has been ideal conditions, yet no fish. I also can't find anyone who has seen or caught a striper in the last week and a half. Last night I fished next to a few guys who were drifting live eels. In the past they had been able to score big time when nothing else was working. They, too, had no luck. The fish are just not there. It's looking like it will be a long wait until April.
